Website Accessibility

Lone Star Credit Union is committed to providing a website that is accessible to all our Members. If you have difficulty using or accessing any element of this website, or LSCU mobile app, please feel free to call 800.588.6928 or email us at info@lonestarcu.org. We will work with you to provide the information or item(s) you seek through a communication method that is accessible for you (example – communication through telephone support).

We are making best efforts to implement the recommendations of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) as published by the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). There is no definitive test or certification of conformance to Level AA of the WCAG, but we have used a variety of methods for assessing accessibility. If you find a part of the site that you feel does not conform to Level AA of the WCAG, please contact us by email at marketing@lonestarcu.org so we can evaluate the issue.

Lone Star Credit Union strives to make every page accessible to all users and is continuously working on accessibility improvements; however, some pages may have partial conformance due to the use of 3rd party vendors. As such Lone Star Credit Union does not claim full site-wide conformance, instead a partial conformance, as defined by WCAG Level AA 2.0. Lone Star Credit Union cannot ensure conformance of crucial third-party plug-ins and widgets and we acknowledge there may be difficulties with portions of the site.

Lone Star Credit Union uses automated testing (currently through Siteimprove™) as a baseline for conformance but understands W3C's position that "there is as yet no tool that can perform a completely automatic assessment on the checkpoints in the guidelines, and fully automatic testing may remain difficult or impossible".

We recommend using the most current versions of the computer-based assistive technology applications and browsers. There are easy-to-use controls for adjusting the size and colors of content on a web page. There are no ideal content size or color combinations for all users. By using the controls provided by your browser, you can personalize the content presentation to suit your needs. Keeping your browsers up-to-date will ensure that you have the most options for accessibility. Newer browsers tend to provide more display options to make content accessible, and may work better with assistive technologies.
