Lone Star Credit Union was founded on a vision to make our local community stronger through shared values and high-impact relationships. Our strong connection to the local community has grown from our ability to serve the ambitions of our Members. Today, our team is committed to supporting local causes that are important to our Members and our communities.
We are proud to support charitable organizations that positively impact our community through sponsorships and donations. We will consider sponsorships to civic and charity events, programs and publications located within our communities served. Organizations interested in sponsorship may complete our request form and return it by mail, email, or deliver it in person to a LSCU location near you. If you have questions about our donation policy, please contact us at 214.327.9367.
Our communities are how we are connected to one another. That’s why it’s not just important to give back but to strengthen, grow, and most importantly, show our gratitude. Without the support of our communities we would not be able to fulfill our mission.
In 2020, we championed for a variety of local causes, events, and organizations. We donated $4,095, provided $4,550 in sponsorships, and LSCU employees personally donated over $2,000 to support Ferguson Road Initiative, Hunt Regional Healthcare Foundation, and the Greenville and Terrell Animal Shelters. LSCU continued to be the proud sponsor of the monthly Greenville ISD Hero of Hope award and awarded two scholarships to Greenville High School seniors.
LSCU is a proud sponsor of the Greenville ISD Hero of Hope Award, which honors an employee who has gone above and beyond to make a difference in students’ lives each month. LSCU is also a sponsor of the Ferguson Road Initiative, which facilitates the community’s vision for the complete economic revitalization of Far East Dallas.
Every quarter, our employees select a good deed to perform in our communities. These good deeds may be giving of time, donations, or funds. In 2020 we made and distributed over 150 goody bags to the homeless, donated pet supplies to local animal shelters, and donated no-slip socks to area nursing homes
