Our Board of Directors brings together a team of business professionals and thought leaders from throughout North Texas. Each director is also a Member and has been elected to their position by other Members during our Annual Meeting. This group of volunteers upholds our good-business philosophy and helps guide Lone Star Credit Union towards success.

Wayne first joined Lone Star Credit Union as a Member in 1976, and began serving on the Board of Directors in 1994. He is a Vietnam Veteran and served with the 25th Infantry Division, and was awarded both the Bronze Star and Army Commendation Medals. Wayne retired from his career at Atmos Energy Corporation in late 2018. He enjoys camping and fishing, and continues to collect license plates from across the US.

Marki first joined as a Member in 1986, and began serving on the Board of Directors in 1995. Marki has a daughter, Elissa, and two sons, Scott and Parker. In her free time, she also enjoys restoring her 100 year-old home.
“I enjoy serving on the board, because I get to help advise the board as it relates to information technology, and aligning IT with how to better serve members. I also enjoy learning about, and being a part of the Credit Union movement. I consider being a part of a non-profit that serves its members to best of it abilities, an honor and a privilege.”
Jack became a Member of the LSCU Advisory Board in 2016 and was elected to the Board of Directors in 2018. Jack has more than 20 years of management, sales, operations, and delivery experience in the technology services industry. Jack has served in various leadership positions and has also been successful at developing other leaders in the IT services space. He has a proven track record of building a go to market strategy, hiring the right team members, and executing the strategy to grow revenue and profits in multiple types of IT services, and geographical regions. Jack co-founded Pure IT Credit Union Services and currently serves as its CEO.

Jerry began his story as a Member in 1968, when LSCU served the employees of Lone Star Gas Company. He was elected to the Board of Directors in 1993 after becoming LSCU President & CEO, and enjoys continuing to serve on the board to this day. Jerry retired in 2018, but says that his favorite part about his career at LSCU is making a difference in our Members' lives, and working in a place that is pleasant to come to each and every day. In his free time, Jerry enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, gardening, and camping.

Dr. Sweeney became an LSCU Member in 1993. He retired from his position as Superintendent of the Boles Independent School District in 2019 and is involved in several nonprofit organizations in our communities. He enjoys helping these nonprofits, who touch the lives of so many people in Hunt County, with projects including helping domestic violence victims, awarding college scholarships, and managing student robotics programs.

Born and raised in East Dallas, Ryan was a second generation graduate of Bryan Adams High School. He is a US Marine Corps Veteran, where he spent more than eight years on active duty from 1994 to 2003. Ryan first joined Lone Star Credit Union in 2011, and was elected to the board shortly after in 2013. He currently owns his own business in East Dallas, Holloway Benefit Concepts. Outside the office, Ryan enjoys dining and traveling with his wife. He is also a FC Dallas season ticket holder, and often spends his weekends watching our home team play up in Frisco.

Kim joined the Board of Directors in 2014, and currently works at Madix as A/R Supervisor. When she's outside the office, she enjoys running, workouts, boot camps, hiking, and playing volleyball.
Jason was appointed as an Advisory Board Member in May 2017.
